Delete your Parlate account
Last updated: October 8, 2026
How to delete your Parlate account and its data — from the app or by email, without reinstalling it — and what is deleted and what is kept.
Who handles your request
Parlate is a voice dictation app developed by Reserved Technologies. This page explains how to delete your Parlate account and its data. If you have questions, email soporte@reserved-technologies.com.
From the app (iPhone and Android)
This is the fastest way and deletes your account immediately:
- Open Parlate and sign in with the account you want to delete.
- Go to the Settings tab and tap your account card to open Account.
- Tap “Delete account”. If you have a subscription that renews, the app will first ask you to manage it so you are not charged again.
- Type “delete” to confirm and tap “Delete permanently”.
Without the app: request by email
If you already uninstalled Parlate or cannot sign in, you do not need to reinstall it. Email soporte@reserved-technologies.com with the subject “Delete my Parlate account”, preferably from the email address linked to your account. Include that address, whether you signed in with Apple or Google and, if you have it, the support ID shown in Settings → Account. If you used Apple's “Hide My Email”, write from that address or include it in your message.
We will verify that the request comes from the account holder before deleting it and will confirm by email once it is complete.
Delete some of your data without deleting your account
Parlate, the app by Reserved Technologies, lets you delete some of your data and keep your account. These controls are in the iPhone and Android apps and need an internet connection to take effect on our servers:
- Dictation history: in Settings → Privacy & data → Manage history, tap “Delete all history” and type “erase” to confirm; it is erased from that device, from our servers, and from your other synced devices. On the same screen you choose how long it is kept (1, 7, 30, or 90 days; it applies to your whole account and erases older records) and can turn off “Sync history”. Turning sync off stops that device from sending history, but does not erase what is already on our servers: use “Delete all history” for that.
- Notes: in the Notes tab, swipe a note to the left and tap “Delete”, or open it, tap the “⋯” menu, and choose “Delete”. If the note was synced, deleting it also erases its content from our servers and your other devices; if note sync is off on that phone, the deletion is sent when you turn it back on. In Settings → Privacy & data → Manage notes you can turn off “Sync notes”; that does not erase notes already on our servers.
- Dictionary, snippets, and replacements: in the Personalize tab, open Dictionary, Snippets, or Replacements, tap the item, then “Delete term”, “Delete snippet”, or “Delete replacement”. The deletion syncs to your account.
- Share transcripts: off by default. If you turned it on, turn it off in Settings → Privacy & data → “Share transcripts”. We stop keeping the text of your new dictations; text already kept is deleted automatically about 30 days later, or sooner if you ask us by email.
- Topic summary and any data without an in-app control: email soporte@reserved-technologies.com, preferably from your account's email address, and tell us what you want deleted. We will do it without deleting your account and confirm by email. Because the topic summary is derived from your dictations, it may be created again if you keep dictating.
In the desktop app
In the desktop app, history (sync, how many days it is kept, and “Delete all history”), note sync, and the equivalent of sharing transcripts, called “Improve transcriptions”, are in Settings → Data and Privacy.
What is deleted
When you delete your account, we erase from our servers:
- Your account and the sessions open on all your devices.
- Your synced dictation history and notes.
- Your vocabulary, dictionary, snippets, replacements, styles, and other personalizations.
- Your topic summary used to improve transcription.
- Your preferences and synced data.
What is kept and for how long
History and notes you never synced exist only on your device: they stay there until you delete them in the app or uninstall Parlate. In addition, as described in our Privacy Policy, the following may be kept:
- A minimal record with a pseudonymized (hashed) identifier of the deleted account and the deletion date, which prevents pending processes from granting it access again. It does not include your name, your email, or your dictations.
- The text of dictations stored because you turned on “Share transcripts” or because a translation you asked for failed, which is deleted automatically about 30 days after it was stored (or sooner, if you ask us by email).
- Technical and security logs and backups, for as long as needed to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud; they are then deleted or de-identified.
- Purchase and billing records kept by Apple (App Store), Google (Google Play), Stripe, and RevenueCat under their own policies and tax obligations.
- Data that speech-recognition and artificial intelligence providers retain under their contracts and policies, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Your subscription is not canceled automatically
Deleting your account or uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. If you do not want it to renew, cancel it first on the platform where you bought it:
- iPhone: iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Android: Google Play → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Computer or web: the billing portal opened from the desktop app.
